Attention-deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that can go undetected, particularly in the absence of a learning disability. Symptoms include attentional problems, disorganization, and sometimes hyperactivity, although this is not a requirement. It can often persist into adulthood, and although these individuals may learn to cope with their difficulties, ADHD can cause significant disruption in social, academic and workplace functioning. Neuropsychological assessments for ADHD can provide diagnostic clarity, as well as an understanding of the individual's cognitive strengths, which can help with the development of coping strategies. Importantly, ADHD is not the same as intelligence, and many people can be very high-functioning while also coping with some academic or occupational challenges.
Psychoeducational assessments can be particularly useful to identify or rule out a learning disability, and identify an individual's cognitive strengths and weaknesses. Dr. Greer seeks to provide assessments with report findings and recommendations relevant and useful in the "real world", i.e. at school or the workplace, in social settings, or anywhere else that is important to you.
Dr. Greer offers an in-depth approach to the assessment of ADHD in adults, particularly as symptoms of ADHD can often overlap with other concerns or academic difficulties (e.g., dyslexia). At PCN, we offer full psychoeducational assessments for adults that also include assessment for ADHD, meaning that you are provided with a much better understanding of your academic abilities and whether there are any recommended accommodations for these. If the ADHD diagnosis is appropriate, you can feel more confident about this having also ruled-in or ruled-out other academic issues. We offer a fixed-fee price for Adult ADHD assessments, which includes everything that is involved (i.e., a clinical interview, testing, scoring, report writing, review of any relevant records, and a feedback session). The total cost as of 2026 is for an adult psychoeducational assessment that also includes ADHD is $3200.
