Dr. Sarah Greer welcomes you to Pacific Coast Neuropsychology
With many years of experience in the field of psychology, Dr. Greer is a Licensed Psychologist and is the principal clinician at PCN. Dr. Greer earned a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology from the University of Oxford in 2012 and specialized in Neuropsychology. As part of her training, she completed a one year residency in Brain Injury and Neurology at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, UK. She worked in the field of psychology in the UK for 10 years before returning to Vancouver in 2013, and completed a 6-month post-doctoral fellowship at the Headwise Concussion Clinic in Surrey, BC in 2014.
With a significant amount of hands-on experience, Dr. Greer is qualified to carry out a comprehensive range of neuropsychological and psychological assessments covering a variety of issues. She is licensed as a psychologist in both BC and the United Kingdom.
Dr. Greer has previously worked as a neuropsychologist for the NHS at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and in a specialist memory service, as well as at Richmond Hospital (Vancouver Coastal Health). She entered private practice in 2014, and has specialized experience of working with Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBIs), particularly Mild TBIs/concussions, but has also worked with severe Inpatient TBIs, Strokes, Dementias, and other types of concerns/injuries to the brain. Dr. Greer has also taught a variety of group therapies/programs related to topics in neuropsychology and mental health concerns, and has provided guest lectures on topics related to Sports Psychology. She is also a member of the Cortex organization, which provides complex case assessments in a team capacity.
Dr. Greer has been a part-time Faculty Member at Kwantlen Polytechnic University since 2014, where she teaches Neuropsychology, Health Psychology, Aging, Clinical Interventions and Psychopathology and is a published author in the fields of Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology. She is a member of the BC Psychological Association, the National Academy of Neuropsychology, the Pacific Northwest Neuropsychology Society, and the Sports Neuropsychology Society.
